Tap 415 brings Open Design, Creative Menu, and Beer to San Francisco Westfield
It would be easy to call the new Tap 415 a gastropub. But we think that they want to stretch their wings a bit farther than that well-filled restaurant niche. First of all, it is created by the same people who come from Twenty Five Lusk, one of San Francisco’s most popular and creative restaurants, helmed by Chad Bourdon & Chef Matthew Dolan .
Second, it is located on the top floor of the Westfield Centre mall in downtown San Francisco, just blocks from Union Square. The top floor is reserved for some of the best or flashiest restaurants in the Centre, such as celebrity chef Martin Yan’s M.Y. China.
Third, the design and colors are open, sleek, and somewhat reminiscent of the Golden Gate Bridge (not an easy feat to pull together, especially in an upscale mall and including dozens of flat screen televisions).
Finally, the food and drink are… well… interesting. And we mean that in the best possible sense. Just take a look at some items from the Bar Bites menu.
