A Multi-Course Culinary Adventure at Jardín Nebulosa in Mexico
TasteTV recently experienced a 9-course lunch at Jardín Nebulosa, an incredible restaurant located in the mountain town of San Sebastián del Oeste, outside of Puerto Vallarta. The lunch was for 8 visiting MICHELIN starred chefs from Spain, and two from the US (one from Chicago, Chef Carlos Gaytán of “Mexique,”), as well as the Spanish Ambassador.
Also at the events were the judges from MasterChef Latino, Chef Claudia Sandoval and MasterChef República Dominicana , Chef Ines Paez ( Chef Tita )

The restaurant’s menu features natural ingredients from the surrounding Sierra Madre Occidental Mountains, and from their orchards and various local plantations.
The restaurateurs also brews their various limited edition in-house beers, raicilla mezcal and infused liquors. Raicilla is a spirit similar to tequila that is made from green agave instead of blue agave. One key difference is that blue agave that is used for tequila can be cultivated, while green agave cannot, and must be found growing wild. Their beers and spirits are rare, delicious and not to be missed.

The lunch as Jardin Nebulosa was part of many culinary events in the Vallarta-Nayarit GASTRONOMICA food festival that took place in Puerta Vallarta.
Vallarta Nayarit Gastronomica combines activities and events that all take place around food and the culinary lifestyle. These include cooking demonstrations, classes and a trade exhibitions that take place at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta, and the Sheraton Vallarta, as well as private gala dinners including one at the Marival hotel celebrating the career of Mexican chef Susana Palazuelos. It also includes wine tasting, beer tasting, tequila making demonstrations, as well as sampling of specialty desserts.
